Sami Shorr ‘26
Sami Shorr is a second year student at Boston University pursing a major in Public Relations and a minor in French Studies. Born and raised in Rhode Island, Sami grew up dancing at Ballet RI under the direction of Kathleen Breen Combes and Yury Yanowsky. During her time at Ballet RI, Sami performed the role of Clara twice in their production of The Nutcracker, and was in various other shows with the company like Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Up Close on Hope. Over the summer, Sami has danced at the Joffrey Ballet Academy, and Providence Ballet. She spent her first year of college at Butler University under the direction of Larry Attaway, where she pursued a degree in Dance Arts Administration. At Butler, Sami performed roles in The Nutcracker, Don Quixote Dream Scene, Swan Lake, and other student run productions. Sami looks forward to getting to perform with the HBC and is excited for what the year will bring!
