Melinda Wang ‘27

Melinda Wang is a sophomore at Harvard University, studying Economics and Theater, Dance and Media. Melinda began her ballet training at Dance Elite at age five and then trained at Academy of International Ballet under Anastasia Babayeva and Denis Gronostayskiy for six years. At Academy of International Ballet, she performed roles such as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, and Sugar Plum Fairy, Dew Drop, Marleton, and Arabian in The Nutcracker. While competing in international ballet competitions, Melinda has received 3rd place at YAGP (3x), 1st place at WBAC Finals (2x), and 2nd place at UBC. She is a scholarship recipient at Joffrey Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, and Colorado Ballet. Outside of HBC, she is director of CityStep and also a part of Harvard Contemporary Collective. She loves dancing with HBC!
