Laura Elena Vejar Carrillo
Laura is a Mechatronics Engineer from Mexico, with a focus in product design and development, 3D printing and bioprinting techniques. She trained in “Ballet Pedagogical Academy” in Hermosillo, Sonora focused on Pedagogy, Theory, and Technique in classical dance validated by the Mexican Government's Secretary of Education and Culture “SEC”. Throughout her dance journey, Laura has participated in summer intensives with the National School of Classical and Contemporary Dance (ENDCC) in Mexico City, Antares Contemporary Dance Company in Hermosillo, and the National Ballet School of Cuba “Fernando Alonso” in La Habana. She has also been a part of Ballet Tucson School and certified by CID - UNESCO. In her school in Mexico, Laura was a founding member of “Morpho” Contemporary Dance Company and the “Rhapsodic” Urban Dance Company. Currently, she is also a part of HRMDC, Laura is excited to continue being a part of Harvard Ballet Company this year.
