Kate Penner

Kate Penner (she/her/hers) serves on the Alumni Engagement Committee. She graduated in 2007 with a concentration in Government with a secondary in Economics, and currently serves as an academic coach specializing in STEM fields at Harvard's Academic Resource Center. After returning to Cambridge just after graduation, Kate embarked on a freelance career in dance and musical theater in the Boston area, but also spent ten years teaching calculus as part of Harvard's Math Department. She is currently on the faculty of Boston Ballet School and manages social media for the Vail Dance Festival while pursuing her master's in education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Ask her about hammering out your own career path (when traditional ones don't feel like the right fit) or developing into a freelance artist on a budget.
