Katy Nairn ‘26

Katy is a junior at Harvard studying Neuroscience and English. Hailing from Chicago, at age three she began her training at Salt Creek Ballet, where she starred as Clara in the Nutcracker and fell in love with performing. She continued her pre-professional training at Faubourg Ballet Theater, Hinsdale Dance Academy and ultimately the Joffrey Academy Pre-Professional Program, performing solo roles such as Dew Drop in the Nutcracker and the Peaseblossom Fairy in Midsummer Night’s Dream. In 2020, she competed in the international ballet competition YAGP where she placed Second in the Classical competition and in the Top 12 in the Contemporary competition, performing variations from Paquita and Giselle. Most recently, she trained at the Ruth Page School of Dance, and danced in various lead roles. Katy has participated in summer intensives at American Ballet Theatre, Harid Conservatory, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and BalletMet. At Harvard, Katy has performed with HBC, HRMDC, Harvard College Opera, and in 2024 premiered the role of Hannah in Lowell House Opera's operatic ballet, "The Unknowable."
